If you cook and invite paying guests into your home then invite us to your supper club, or if you want to go to a pop-up restaurant, let’s start one. If you like all-day-as-much-as-you-can-eat-buffets, pub bought-in Thai fish cakes or (yawn…) sticky toffee pudding, this blog isn’t for you - unless of course – you cooked it yourself. This site is dedicated to finding the best home-made food in Suffolk. On a street corner, at a fete that sells fab cakes in summer, in a cafe, in a restaurant or a hotel – it’ll be on here if it’s good.
We have been a chef and a cook in an award winning Suffolk restaurant, worked as a food taster in market research, written food features for Suffolk magazine and offered independent expert advice to the hospitality and catering industries. We are fussy about what we eat, one of us is a vegetarian and we can all cook, so if you need advice or a second opinion, a secret diner, a sample taster or a recipe tester – let us know – we can do all of these things for you.
We hope you liked our site and are already enjoying some of the great food Suffolk has to offer. If you find something or somewhere nice, contact us and let us know so we can write about it on here. If you would like to be mentioned on the site, tell us and I will come and take a picture or try your food, just send an e mail from the home page. If you just want to read about local food and eat it, that’s fine too, you can subscribe by e mail to get regular updates.

Hello Suffolkfoodie,
I too am a foodie and am starting a lunch club at my home.
There are beautiful long walks around my area and my home is a little bit special.
So the idea is that you can rock up to the house and go for a walk to wet your appetite and than have a long, long leisurely lunch in front of a roaring fire.
Check out the blog. There is not too much on it yet but then again I have only started this week.
Would love to hear your thoughts and perhaps you would like to book a place.
Best wishes,
Jasmin
Jasmin, I am going to book a table as soon as possible.
Lovely. I have updated the blog and it now includes lunch dates for November and December, how to book and most importantly whats on the menu.
Please let as many fellow foodies know about The Walnut Tree Farm Lunch Club.

Look forward to meeting you soon.

Hello,
We are filming a food programme in the Suffolk area next week and are looking for a local foodie/food expert to take part in our programme.
If you are interested in hearing more about the programme then please contact me as soon as possible !
Claire
Great website.
We are currently setting up a regional newspaper style website which highlights content from regional food blogs.
Would you be interested in appearing?
It would be in a similar style website to that of Social Menu.
You you be interested in featuring? You wouldn’t have to do any work yourself, you would have advertising control on the pages including your content and choose to remove your content at any time.
I would be interested in your thoughts
Yes, would like to do this. Have sent you e mail with my phone number in.
